SUPREME
CONVENTION
|
| The
Virginia Supreme Convention Committee
has been busy planning and working on the 08
convention to be held at the Norfolk Waterside
Marriott, on the waterfront in downtown Norfolk,
Virginia, August 7 to August 14, 2008. It’s hard to believe
that the 08 Convention is just around the corner, as we
began working toward hosting this convention eight years
ago. We have put together what we hope will be a very enjoyable convention for all in attendance. We have planned many activities away from the Hotel, as well as at the Hotel. And the planned activities for Monday and Tuesday nights are just across the street from the hotel on the Norfolk Waterfront. With an evening at Nauticus, the National Maritime Center on Monday night and the Norfolk Spirit, a dinner cruise planned for Tuesday night. You don’t want to miss these two events. The committee looks forward to welcoming all, with our Virginia Hospitality. We are planning to have pythian transportation from the airport for those flying in on Friday or Saturday. There will be cards sent out after the first of the year with all convention information, to be returned with flight information. There is much to see in downtown Norfolk and the areas around Norfolk. Two blocks from the Hotel is McArthur Mall, an upscale shopping Mall. There are also many fine shops and Restaurants in the downtown area. And best of all there is public transportation around the downtown area, called the net, which is free all day and night. This can be boarded in front of the hotel every 8 minutes. For those that are interested in seeing the surrounding areas, the Virginia Beach oceanfront is approx. 15 miles from the hotel, and Colonial Williamsburg is about 35 miles away. So come and make a wonderful vacation out of the 08 Supreme Convention. Registration has begun for Supreme Convention 2008.
