Virginia’s annual golf and family weekend was held at
Fredericksburg Lodge #22 this July. Despite sweltering heat
and humidity, this outdoor event was well attended by
Pythians from around the state. The Golf competition on
Friday, July 18 was enjoyed by over seventy Pythians and
their guests. It was followed by a cookout..
This annual Domain of Virginia event, called the Ronnie
Quann Memorial Weekend, was started about twenty years ago.
Back then, it was mainly a softball tournament between
lodges. Over the years it has evolved into a golf tournament
and family picnic. The location is rotated among the
Domain’s districts. But no matter where it is held, Virginia
Pythians enjoy the chance to share an informal activity in
which all the members of their families can participate.
Plenty of activities were provided for the kids.
Early in the afternoon the pavilion at Fredericksburg Lodge
#22 began to fill with Pythians from around the state. |
