Once again it is
with a heavy heart that I pass along this
information received from Lavancha Waddell. Polly L.
Burke, PSR and wife of the late Supreme Chancellor
Harold Burke, passed away Tuesday, September 2,
2008. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00PM until
8:00PM at Hackman-Fegelsong Funeral Home at 114 S.
Nottawa Street, Sturgis, Michigan. They would like
to have a Pythian Memorial Service, and it will be
at 6:00PM. That will help for those out of town to
be able to get home before dark. Polly will be
greatly missed by all those whose life she has
touched.

New
Hampshire/Vermont has lost a Knight of many years.
Larry Ackerson died on Sunday. He served as Supreme
Outer and Inner Guard but did not pursue higher
office due to his wife's illness. While serving as a
Supreme Officer he wrote "The Recruiter" to help
members obtain new members.
His funeral is private.
There will be a Memorial Service on September 13th.
