Steve Glise
Steve
Glise is a member of Sicilian Lodge #39 of Independence, Missouri,
and holds additional memberships in Kansas (Sunflower #438), and in
the Domains of Oklahoma (Ponca City # 18) and Texas (Ft. Worth
#101). He also is a member of ABA Temple #211, DOKK.
Steve joined the Pythian Order in February 1992 in the Domain of
Missouri (Olive #97).
He served as:
Chancellor Commander of Olive # 97 (1994 & 1996); and of Sunflower
#438 (2007); District # 4 President (2003) and District #4 Secretary
(1994-2000); Elected to Grand Outer Guard (1995), and become Grand
Chancellor (2000-2001; 2001-2002); Grand Secretary (2002-2008);
Deputy Supreme Chancellor/MO. (2004-2008); Supreme Representative
(2003-present); Vice President, then President of the International
GS/GT Association (2004-2006; 2006-2008); served on the Supreme
Lodge Membership committee (2004-2006), and served as chairman of
the committee (2006-present).
He also has served the DOKK (PIR, 2005) and as District Deputy
Imperial Prince (2003-present). He was honored to receive a Supreme
Chancellor's Medal of Honor twice (2001 & 2004) as well as the
Imperial Prince's Medal of Honor twice (2003 & 2005). He received
the 'Best Grand Secretary's Award' from the GS/GT Association
(2004), and was named 'Knight of the Year' in Missouri (2006).
He has concentrated on the start-up of new subordinate Lodges,
having instituted 2 as Grand Chancellor in 2001 (Syracuse #437/MO. &
Sunflower #438/KS.); and had a part in the institution of 6 others
(Genesis #439; Wheatland #440 - both Kansas; Michael Glawson #441 -
France; Rathbone #442 - Arkansas; Lebanon #443 & Dixie #444 - both
Missouri). He also founded the regional organization, the Heartland
Pythian Association in 2003 - which includes Knights, Sisters, DOKK,
Nomads, Sunshine Girls and the Junior Order in the States of
Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. .
His past employment experience includes; general manager in the
restaurant industry; department head for 11 years in the health care
industry; and as a regional sales/staff manager in the insurance
industry. . He attended the University of Kansas and is a lifelong
resident of the Greater Kansas City area. He has a daughter (Amber,
25) who serves as Secretary for the Heartland Pythian Association);
2 granddaughters (Kathryn, 6 and Savanah, 2). In his spare time, he
enjoys most sporting events, including the Kansas Jayhawks and
Kansas City Chiefs. He enjoys golf, bowling, and traveling.
