Spotlighting a Past Supreme Lodge Officer
Dave Mead
Dave
and his wife Nancy are residents of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dave,
who grew up in rural Stafford Virginia, joined the US Army after
graduating high school and was assigned to duty in Hawaii. Dave and
Nancy were married in Hawaii where Nancy was a teacher. Dave served
four tours of duty with the Army, in Germany, Korea and Vietnam.
After the Army Dave joined the US Postal Service, from which he is
now retired. They have two children, Their son Mark,who graduated
from Old Dominion University is a computer consultant at the
Pentagon. Mark was at work on 9/11, but fortunately was on the other
side of the building. Mark is the Grand Vice Chancellor of the
Domain of Virginia. Their daughter Diane is a Graduate of the
University of Virginia and is currently serving in the United States
Air Force in San Antonio, Texas with the rank of Major. They have
three grandsons and a granddaughter. Dave is active in the Grand
Lodge of Virginia as well as his own lodge, Fredericksburg #22.
Dave’s other interests include boating, spending time with his
grandchildren and tending to his talking parrots.
The Meads enjoy traveling around the Supreme Domain in both the
United States and Canada. They have visited every state in the
union, most of them in their motor home. They spend their winters in
