Norman Bergstein
Norman
Bergstein is a Primary Member of South Florida Lodge #195, a dual
member of Boca-Delray- Boynton Lodge #206 and an honorary member of
Kings Knights Lodge #221 in the Domain of Florida.
Norman joined Mid Island Lodge in New York in 1991. His supervisory
position with the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service in
Newark, New Jersey and living on Long Island, N.Y. which was a 2
hour commute each way took up most of his time and he was unable to
attend meetings. Once a month, he volunteered for the Juvenile
Diabetes Association in their Thrift Shop. Upon his retirement from
INS in 1994, he and his wife, Susan, moved to Florida where he
joined the Diamond Pembroke Pines Lodge. He was Chancellor Commander
in 1998 and 1999. He became Deputy Grand Chancellor in 2000. In 2001
Diamond Pembroke Pines Lodge & South Florida Lodge #195 merged. In
2001, he was elected as Grand Outer Guard and became Grand
Chancellor in 2005. He was Knight of the Year for the Past
Chancellors and Officers Association of Florida. He has served as
PCOA President. He now holds the Titles of: Deputy Supreme
Chancellor, Grand Chancellor, PYF President, and Florida District
Association President, as well as Satrap in the DOKK’S.
Norman and his wife are avid baseball fans and they are on the Board
of Directors of the Florida Marlins Fan Club where his wife serves
as its Secretary.
