Gerald Deitch
Jerry
Deitch is a member of Clark County Lodge #96 of the Domain of
Nevada.
Jerry joined the Pythian Order over forty years ago in the Domain of
New York.
While in New York Jerry served on the membership committee for 14
years, and as Deputy Grand Chancellor in 1979 under Assistant Chief
Bob Epstein. In 1989 he was elected Grand Secretary and served until
moving to Las Vegas in 1992. He was selected as the Pythian Camp’s
Man of the Year in 1990 and as the Grand Marshal of the NY Memorial
Day Parade. He was the President of the Little Neck Volunteer
Ambulance Corps and was awarded the Golden Spur in 1991. After
retiring as a Divisional Sales Manager for the Genesco Corp, Jerry
moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. In Nevada Jerry went thru the chairs and
served as Grand Chancellor in 2000. He was elected Supreme Outer
Guard in 2004. Jerry, who is a retired Navy Seal, having spent 18
years in the Navy, has been married to his wife Selma for more than
50 years. They have two children, Martin and Laurie, four Grand
Children and two Great Grand Children (Alexis and Jordan)
Most of Jerry’s time is spent volunteering in the community or
working for the Pythian Order. And if that’s not enough, he reads
more than three books a week.
